The Teachings of Brother Joseph Before starting I should like to explain that the teachings quoted below have been taken from the transcripts of sittings under trance control. The trance control is a monk from Glastonbury Abbey in Somerset, England who passed from this life some 851 years ago. Many of the things that were quoted have brought a chill to the spines of those present concerning our world today and the prospects for its future. But amongst those quotations are some I think you will find interesting. QUESTION: Joseph would you tell me whether I will have a better life next time around? I am assuming that there is some truth in the theory of reincarnation. Joseph sat back and said quite gently “What I am about to say to you will not sit happily with many of your world who have such a romantic idea of what lies beyond this life you have now. If I’m correct my child, you are by religion a Christian, therefore you are of the opinion that after your passing you will be accepted into the Kingdom of God, as you know it to be and continue life with your creator for all eternity. To consider that which you are proposing would have suggested that your previous belief in God was no longer acceptable to you therefore, your views would be in opposition to your Christian beliefs. Everything in spiritual understanding is basically very simple so why complicate it with the belief that you will travel around in a continual circle of one life upon another life without understanding the purpose of each life. This itself would create stagnation and the soul could not learn or advance in this way. Does it not say in your spiritual teachings that you come this way but once? I myself have been in the state of the spirit for almost 851 of your years and to my knowledge I have never met or communicated with another soul that has claimed to have lived before. Neither has there been another soul who has said to me: “Joseph I must take my leave of you so that I may return to earth and become a shipbuilder, a candle maker or any other such life” and what would you do with all your memories, experiences, morals and personalities – so essential for the soul to continue its journey. Would you hide them in a flowerpot, put them under a stone so that you could pick them up on the way back? No, I do not think so. QUESTION: “Joseph, I think that I have just met my soul mate?” Joseph answered “Is that so, and how did you recognise them?” “Well” said the questioner, “I get on so well with them, I feel I must have known them before”. “In the world that you call spirit, new souls are awaiting their joining into a physical body. This is in order to gain personality and memory so that their life may continue after the physical life has ended. For the soul has no memory, sense of identity or personality before this. It is just that which is love, energy, light and that part of the Creator, which is divine. At the moment of conception the soul has every thing it needs from the race memory and the memory with the DNA of the parents, so that, should a baby be lost, the soul has all it needs to continue on its return to our domain and continue with its development and life in the spirit world. So, if you have understood my words, then you will know that the attraction that you feel for another, male or female, is the result of a chemical change I’m sure you are familiar with this expression in your world such as ‘like attracts like’. You will find that you will always recognise a similar personality in another in many cases the response will be the same for the other person but you could hardly call this a basis for recognisation of a kindred spirit or soul. Remember everyuthing in your understanding must be simple and uncomplicated. Haydn as the medium who has been chosen by Joseph I can only say that a more gentler loving and understanding soul would be difficult to find. Please enjoy debating and arguing on the comments he has made, you may not agree but how many of us would honestly say, maybe I am wrong?. |
